Funding information for applicants

The Crown makes a contribution to the costs of iwi, hapū or whānau groups who are progressing an application under te Takutai Moana Act 2011 and the Ngā Rohe Moana o Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Porou Act 2019.

These pages include all the information you will need to request funding, including guidelines and the forms and templates you will need.

Effective from 1 July 2024, the settings of the funding scheme have changed. Please refer to our pānui to applicants dated 5 July 2024.

Note: For costs incurred to 30 June 2024, the previous settings still apply. Costs incurred before 30 June 2024 will need to be submitted to Te Arawhiti by 31 December 2024 to be eligible for reimbursement.

Please refer to the How to Apply for Funding flowchart, and the links provided below for more information on the request process.
